Registration at Recreation Center



Registration for all programs and trips is held at the Recreation Center beginning at 8am. 

  • Space is limited for all programs and trips. In-person registration is required for all activities. Make checks payable to Twp. of Gloucester except where otherwise noted; two separate checks may be necessary.
  • Programs are for Township residents only.  Bring a valid drivers license and second proof of residency to registration.  Preschool registration also requires a photocopy of the child's birth certificate and medical record. 
  • Refunds will be given if the Recreation Department cancels a trip or program due to low enrollment.  We reserve the right to cancel a trip or program if enough people have not registered in advance.
  • Program and camp refunds will be given minus a $10.00 processing fee. This refund must be requested before 20% of the scheduled classes are completed. Sports Camp refunds will be issued only if the request is made at least 1 week prior to the start. Please bring your receipt to the office for processing. All refunds take 30-45 days to process.

JAZZERCISE

Tues./Thurs. 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Open Registration EVERY month! Non-stop All Year!
Cost: $30. to Jazzercise/$5. to Glo. Twp
$5 off per month if you register for 3 months at a time
GET MORE FITNESS BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! Your Rec Center sign-up for Jazzercise gets you two classes per week, PLUS unlimited classes at many different times and locations (see instructor for details). Every Jazzercise class is like a party, blending dance, yoga, Pilates and kickboxing moves into fun, easy-to-follow routines, set to all kinds of great music. All fitness levels welcome. Please bring a mat, weights, water, and wear sneakers. Open to HS students and adults.

PILATES BASED TONING
Mondays: April 19, Last Class June 14
6:30pm - 7:30pm**
Cost: $50. to A. Davis/$10. to Glo. Twp.
Come & enjoy a great Mat Pilates that will help strengthen your core & tone your whole body. Light weights will help to improve your toning even more! Good for any fitness level. Instructor will be providing bands and handled resistance tubing for you to use during class times. Please bring a mat, water & light weights. Open to HS students & adults. Held at Point Ariel Park

CARDIO KICK & TONE
Tuesdays: Apri 20, Last Class June 8
6:30pm - 7:30pm**
Cost: $50. to A. Davis/$10. to Glo. Twp.
This class is for HS students & adults who would like to add Cardio *Kick* to their workout. Geared for all fitness levels. The first half will be a low impact cardio kickboxing class with easy to follow moves that will make you sweat. It is followed by a half hour of full body toning! Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, sneakers, a mat and 3 to 5 lb. weights. Held at Point Ariel Park.

ZUMBA
Cost per Session: $40 to Sandy Kirkwood/$10 to Glo. Twp.
Zumba fuses hypnotic musical rhythms & tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system designed to be FUN & EASY! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast & slow rhythms & resistance training are combined to tone & sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor & international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba*! Good for all fitness levels. Ditch the workout and Join the Party! Classes run for 8 weeks.

SEWING CLASS
Mondays: April 12, Last Class June 7

Cost: $70. to Rebekah Pyles/$10. to Glo. Twp.
Dust off your sewing machine and get inspired! Sewing class for beginners through experiences taught by a full time seamstress, will give you the confidence you need to accomplich your projects. The first weeks will have group projects such as a tote bag and pillow. Then choose from many projects and work at your own pace. Each week learn a tip and a tool the professionals use. Must bring your own machine. Open to HS students & adults. Held at Point Ariel Park.

YOGA CLASSES
Wednesdays: April 21; Last class June 2**
Cost: $40. to Michele Carlino/$10. to Glo. Twp.
This class is a workout for the mind, body and soul that brings inner and outer balance through stretching, breath work, and meditation. Yoga promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and calms anxiety. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel and water. Open to HS students & adults. Held at Point Ariel Park.

T*AI CHI CHIH
Wednesdays: April 21: Last class May 19

Experience more abundant health, harmony and balance. T*ai Chi Chih*s gentle movements release stress by relaxing the body while refreshing the mind. T*ai Chi Chih is not a martial art; it is a moving meditation that balances and circulates the Chi, the intrinsic energy inherent in all life. T*ai Chi Chih consists of 19 powerful movements and 1 pose that are easily learned by anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. Open to HS students and adults. Held at Point Ariel Park.

ADULT TENNIS LESSONS
Wednesdays: April 14 - May 19
6:00 - 7:00pm**6 Weeks*
$50 to Ron Miller/$10 to Glo. Twp.
This beginners course introduces basic tennis skills that will provide both fun and exercise for a lifetime. Emphasis will be placed upon essential ground strokes, volley, unique terminology, proper movement and tennis scoring. If you always wanted to learn to play tennis, this is the course for YOU!
