LITTLE TIKES CHEER CAMP

Does your little one really want to cheer? Join this fun camp designed just for ages 4-6. Your child will learn the basics of cheerleading including jumps, motions, cheers and a dance. Learn from an experienced coach not only cheerleading skills, but teamwork and the love of the sport. Held at the Rec. Center.

Join this fun camp designed just for little ones ages 4-6. The purpose of this camp is to create a foundation of basic soccer skills for those children who have little or no exposure to the sport. Other goals of the camp include: building social skills, learning teamwork and cooperation, and most of all having fun. Held at GT Community Park.
BASEBALL CAMP I

Come have fun while learning the fundamentals of baseball and enhance your skills, as Highland High School Freshman Baseball coach holds a one-week camp for youngsters ages 6-9 years-old. Please bring proper baseball equipment: glove, bat, and a drink for refreshment. Please wear cleats or sneakers. Camp will be held at the Millbridge Field.
BASEBALL CAMP II

This camp is designed to help prepare for the high school level. Highland HS Freshman Baseball Coach will help the transition from the middle school level to high school baseball; focusing on drills, expectations and details that will help the players know what to expect in HS. This camp will focus on defensive rotations to help educate the players on proper positioning, cut-off man drills, middle infield speed and plenty of batting practice. This camp requires the players to wear proper protective equipment, cleats, glove and a bat if you have one.

The focus of this camp is to teach basketball skills. Have fun during this camp while learning the fundamentals of the sport through skill building. Please bring a beverage and a snack daily and wear sneakers. Instructor Charles Senatore is back for his 11th year! Held at the Recreation Center.
SOCCER CAMP

Join former Philadelphia Kixx & current NJ Ironman Goran Vasic for soccer camp. Learn skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, one-on-one defense, and offense from a pro! Campers should bring soccer shoes, shin guards, a water bottle, and a ball. Open to ages 6-14. Held at GT Community Park.
CHEERLEADING CAMP

This camp is designed for children ages 7-14 years-old who will be taught the fundamentals of cheer and dance, as well as safety procedures. All activities are age appropriate. Parents are invited the last day of camp to see a performance. Camp is held at the Recreation Center.
TENNIS CAMP

This camp gives students of various ages a chance to have outdoor fun while focusing on the fundamental tennis skills of groundstrokes (forehand & backhand), airstrokes (volley, serve, & overhead), court movement, tennis etiquette, and proper scoring. These skills are achieved through drills, learning activities, and competitive games. Be prepared to exercise your FEET and MIND this summer while developing greater abilities in the lifetime sport of tennis. Location TBD.
SWIM CAMP

This camp is for boys and girls ages 8 - 14 who are intermediate swimmers and have had experience or lessons with swimming and want to improve his/her techniques through learning competitive swim skills. Friday will be used as a raindate. T-shirts will be given out on the last day of class. This camp is held at the Gloucester Twp. Municipal Pool and is coordinated by the pool manager and lifeguards.
THEATRE CAMP

This camp is for children ages 8 - 12 with an interest in drama. Campers will be introduced to acting techniques, the stage, improvisation, interactive group dynamics, and monologues. The class is designed to increase confidence and improve public speaking skills in a fun way. Camp will be led by Chris Ahern, a certified teacher with experience in theater. Camp is held at Point Ariel Park.
CHESS CAMP

Spend a week playing and learning about chess from the Silver Knights chess coaches! Our coaches are highly-rated professional chess instructors, including Bryan Smith, the 2007 Pennsylvania State Champion. Campers are broken up into groups by skill level, so we accept anyone from total beginners up through experienced and highly-rated tournament players. Each camper receives a T-shirt and a tournament-style chess set. Activities include learning openings, tactics, endgames, studying master games, playing rated games against fellow students, and analyzing the students' games. Campers will take short breaks for snacks and fresh air every hour, and full-day campers have lunch and recess from 12:00 – 1:00. Camp is held at Point Ariel Park.
WRITER’S WORKSHOP

Give your child a head start this summer! This writer's workshop incorporates fun with the fundamentals of writing. Fluent self-expression through the written word will give your child that edge needed to succeed in school and beyond. Your child will learn how to write in an organized, fluent, and creative way. This class will be taught by Chris Ahern, a certified high school English teacher with over ten years experience. This camp is for ages 10 and up.
