- Advising citizens and businesses on crime prevention methods and security matters.
- Assisting citizens in forming "Neighborhood Watch" groups and participation in "National Night Out"
- Providing information on property identification and protection methods.
- Coordinating youth crime prevention and safety programs with the public and private schools (SIP: Society Improvement Program, Police Appreciation Week Activities, D.A.R.E., D.W.I. Education Programs)
- And any other police-community efforts directed to the prevention and reduction of crimes
- The safety of persons and property in the township; (Citizen's Police Academy & gun lock distribution through "Project Safe")
