Attracts Record Turnout
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY – (March 16, 2007) Over two hundred business leaders turned out for the Gloucester Township Economic Development Corporation’s 2007 Business Breakfast. The March 15th event was held at The Palace in Blackwood.
Awards were presented by Joseph Angeloni, Corporation President, to three local businesses. Metrologic received the Corporation’s Economic Development Award for its contribution to the growth of the local economy.

The Meadows Diner received a Special Recognition Award for its history of commitment to the local community, through contributions of service and support. Filomena Cucina Italiano received the Mayor’s Award for Corporate Citizenship. Dr. Joel Naroff, Chief Economist for Commerce Bank, delivered the keynote address.

Among the highlights was the annual report on the local economy. Economic development consultant, Louis Bezich of Public Solutions, Inc., reported that the Cross Keys Road commercial corridor has generated more than $100 million of commercial development is new and projected construction, another $100 million in anticipated public investment in the Township between a new interchange at College Drive and ongoing capital investment at Camden County College in Blackwood.
