Debi Carr, Salvation Army Volunteer Chairperson for Gloucester Township, presented John Bilodeau, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, with 36 new backpacks donated by the Salvation Army. The backpacks will be distributed to needy children from Gloucester Township who will be returning to school in September.

GLOUCESTER TWP.’S FINEST PARTICIPATE IN THE 24TH ANNUAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN FOR THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS
19 Members of the Gloucester Township Police Department participated in the 24th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on June 1, 2007. Members of the Police Department raised approximately $4,000.00 for this worthy cause. The Officers covered 4 miles along the White Horse Pike on the Torch Run from Atlantic City to Camden. The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run is to raise funds and awareness of the Special Olympics movement.
