Operation Take Back New Jersey

Properly Dispose of Old Medications

Somewhere in the United States, a juvenile is taking their first prescription
painkiller that wasn’t prescribed to them. And you might be surprised to discover
there are two places they get these prescription strength painkillers: their own
medicine cabinets or the medicine cabinets of their friends.

Operation Take Back New Jersey will afford Gloucester Township residents the
opportunity to rid their homes of their unused, unwanted, and expired medicine.
Residents may drop off their unused or expired medications for disposal at the
Gloucester Township Seniors Center next to the Gloucester Township Municipal
Building on Chews Landing Road on September 25, 2010 between 10 AM – 2
PM
. Gloucester Township Police Officers will dispose of the controlled substances
in a safe and non – hazardous manner, preventing these pills from falling into the
hands of juveniles or into the illicit market in our communities.
