Update on Fuel Odor Situation at Grenloch Lake

The Gloucester Township Police Department and Gloucester Township Fire Departments have responded to assist The New Jersey Transit Police, which is the lead agency on this incident, who is investigating a confirmed diesel fuel leak at the NJ transit bus garage in Washington Township.  At this time we have been told by Camden County Health Officials that there is no danger to public safety. 75Representatives from Aqua and NJ American Water have confirmed that the water in Gloucester Township is safe for consumption. A private environmental cleanup company is on the scene working to mitigate the spill. At this time we are receiving many calls at the Police Department.  It would be helpful if you could refrain from calling the Department in reference to this incident unless it is an emergency.  Please monitor this system and your local media outlets for the latest information.
